Overview

This document contains the complete product pipeline as of March 2026. All products are organized by realm (Travel, Golf, Apparel) with current status, materials, specifications, and sourcing information. Travel bags represent the Leander Studio → VAREN transition, bringing proven expertise into the VAREN lifestyle ecosystem.

Travel Bags — Passage Realm

The lifestyle and travel product family, transitioning from Leander Studio expertise into the VAREN ecosystem. All currently in sampling at FFG (Formosa Fabric Group) and TS (The Sock Factory). Leather sourced from DH (South Korea).

Fabric Specifications

COTNA 640D
Ballistic nylon, 640 denier. Exceptional durability, abrasion resistance. Used for high-stress areas and bag bases. Color retention excellent. Premium option for bag construction.
Gucci Nylon 840D
High-denier nylon, 840 denier. Maximum durability and weight capacity. Traditionally used in luxury luggage. Premium sourcing. Used for main bag bodies and heavy-use areas.
Poly TM Dobby (640D, 840D, 200D variants)
Polyester-based dobby weave. Lightweight option for packable gear. Available in three denier weights for different applications: 640D (structured), 840D (heavy-use), 200D (lightweight/packable). Good UV resistance.
Spectra R/S 400D
Reinforced Spectra fiber, ultra-lightweight with exceptional strength. Used for technical applications where weight is critical (shoulder straps, handles). Superior tensile strength at minimal weight.
Primeflex (Toray Japan)
Japanese fabric technology. Exceptional water resistance and breathability. Used for premium rain jacket. Taped seams for maximum weather protection. Advanced moisture management. First production run on Rain Jacket (P1): 750 units.
Leander Leather (Proprietary Water-Resistant Finish)
Developed by Leander Studio. Full-grain leather with hydrophobic treatment. Ages beautifully while resisting water penetration. Used for accents, handles, and premium options across product line. Sourced from DH (South Korea).
Waterproof Zippers (Custom Matte-Texture Finish)
Specialty sourced waterproof sliders with matte-texture finish to match design aesthetic. Not standard hardware—sourced specifically for VAREN quality and appearance standards.

Material Sourcing

All materials except Primeflex: DH (South Korea). Leander Studio and VAREN maintain relationship with DH for consistency, quality control, and material certification.
Primeflex (Rain Jacket): Toray Industries (Japan). Direct sourcing for premium performance and traceability. Used in first production run of Rain Jacket P1 (750 units).

Color Specification

All VAREN products are available in a curated color palette designed for timeless aesthetic and versatility. Colors are sourced from TPG (Pantone) standards and applied consistently across the product line.

Jet (Black) — 18-0201 TPG. Deep black with minimal warmth. Core neutral. Standard across all product categories.
Castlerock — 18-0201 TPG. Warm grey-brown. Neutral versatility with slight warmth. Available in major product categories.
Pine Grove — 19-5406 TPG. Muted forest green. Sophisticated cool tone. Limited availability, premium positioning.
Outer Space — 19-4009 TPG. Deep blue-grey. Navy-adjacent neutral. Premium option.
Ghost Grey — 16-4703 TPG. Light grey. Sophisticated neutral. Selected products only.

All colors applied with PD WR PUX2 coating (water-resistant, polyurethane finish) for durability and color retention.

Technical Specifications & Coating

Water-Resistant Coating

Specification: PD WR PUX2
Application: Applied to all external fabrics (nylon, polyester, spectra) for water resistance without compromising breathability.
Performance: Withstands environmental moisture while allowing vapor transmission. Durability tested at 1,000+ hours in field conditions.

Zipper Construction

Standard: Custom waterproof sliders with matte-texture finish (non-reflective, aesthetic alignment with VAREN design language).
Material: Specialty sourced, not commodity zippers. Tested for durability and smooth operation under load and weather stress.

Seam Specifications

High-Stress Areas: Reinforced double/triple seams with bonded thread for durability.
Weather Protection: Rain Jacket (P1) features taped seams for maximum weather protection (standard in premium outerwear).
Testing: Seams tested to failure to establish safety factor exceeding expected use stress.

Leander Studio → VAREN Transition

The travel bags (Passage Realm) represent the formalization of Leander Studio expertise into the VAREN ecosystem. This is not a rebranding but an integration—taking proven design and manufacturing relationships and embedding them into the VAREN product system.
